Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using LawBar.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LawBar ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered users, and verified advocates.

2. Platform Role

LawBar is a marketplace that connects individuals with verified advocates practising in Delhi and Gurgaon. LawBar is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice directly. All legal services are provided by independent advocates listed on the Platform. LawBar does not guarantee the outcome of any legal matter.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Bookings and Payments

When you book a service or consultation, payment is collected by LawBar on behalf of the advocate. Payment is held and released to the advocate only after you confirm that the work has been completed to your satisfaction. If work is not completed, you may raise a dispute and LawBar will mediate. All fees are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5. Advocate Verification

Advocates are verified against Bar Council records by the LawBar team before being listed. However, LawBar does not guarantee the accuracy of any advocate's credentials or representations. Users are encouraged to exercise their own due diligence.

6. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews are submitted by users who have completed a booking with an advocate. LawBar reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms. You must not post reviews about services you did not receive.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) submit false information or impersonate any person; (c) attempt to circumvent the payment process by dealing directly outside the Platform; (d) post abusive or defamatory content; (e) interfere with the Platform's operation. Violation may result in account suspension.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawBar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or legal outcomes. Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between users and advocates arising from services provided through the Platform should first be raised with LawBar. LawBar will attempt to mediate in good faith. Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.

10. Changes to Terms

LawBar reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or Platform notice.
